Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it can set is a sign-in cookie on our internal admin page, which is created only after a password is entered and is strictly necessary for that page to work. Visitors to the public site never receive it.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: how many people visit, which pages they read, which sites they arrive from, and roughly where in the world they are. It does not use cookies. Visitors are counted using an anonymous value derived from the incoming request that changes every day, so we cannot recognise you between days or across other websites, and we cannot identify you or your employer.

We record one custom event: when someone sends an estimate from the savings estimator, so we can count how often the tool leads to an enquiry. It stores the vessel type chosen and how many technologies were selected. It carries no name, company or contact details.

The savings estimator

Figures you enter into the estimator stay in your browser while you use it. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to send an enquiry. When you do, the details you type into the form are placed into an email in your own mail application for you to send, so you can see exactly what is being sent before it leaves.

Enquiries

When you email us, we keep your message and contact details to answer you and, if it leads to work, for as long as our commercial relationship requires. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing you have not asked for.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@semstech.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
